Too Damn Cheeky – Featuring – Aitch B ( Soul360 )
With over four decades at the heart of London’s soul and club scene, Aitch B is a true pioneer of UK music culture. From his early days with East London sound system F.B.I. in the late 1970s to becoming one of Soul II Soul’s original Funki Dreds, he helped bridge the worlds of soul, funk, reggae and emerging club culture.
Throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s, Aitch played some of London’s most influential parties and venues, including the Africa Centre and The Fridge in Brixton, helping shape the Rare Groove and London Sound movements. His influence extended far beyond the DJ booth, contributing lyrics to Soul II Soul classics including Feeling Free, Get A Life and Our Time Has Come, as well as working alongside legendary artists including James Brown and The Jones Girls.
Today, Aitch B remains a respected radio presenter and club DJ, bringing his unmistakable mix of Soul, Funk, R&B, Soulful House, Disco and Reggae to a new generation. Aitch B Soul360 continues its last-Friday-of-the-month residency at Sunrooms2, delivering the ultimate Funky House and Disco session.
Joining the story is Too Damn Cheeky, born in the mid-1990s and responsible for unforgettable nights at iconic London venues including Heaven, The Cross, Propaganda and its long-running monthly residency at the Hanover Grand, alongside a sister night in New York.
